Fun and Games - Get Fit With Play

Why use games in your fitness training? I’ve been incorporating games in my Personal Training for years, because guess what? Everyone needs to have some FUN! As adults we don’t get enough opportunities to just play. Some people get bored of lifting weights, especially for those who are training multiple times per week. Here are a few reasons why you should incorporate games into your workouts: – They provide variety and uniqueness to the workout – The session will go by quickly for the client. – It will push clients harder. – Clients get a chance to PLAY. – Have FUN while getting fit at the same time. If you haven’t tried using games in your sessions with clients try a card game. It’s simple; just pick two upper body exercises for red suits, two lower body exercises for black suits and a core or cardio move for an Ace. Don't Sweat The Small Stuff

"Today sucked. Worst day ever!" Says Jack "I'm sorry, what happened?" says Jill. “Well I woke up and…” We've all had those days where it feels like nothing went right. I was really looking forward to this weekend ever since Jackie mentioned it to me. Especially because it fits in line with what THRIVE Alive is all about. It was a weekend about reminiscing your childhood/college days, laughing, playing, being active & having FUN @ the same time. It was all those things & more. The camp was all inclusive, including alcohol, and the food was actually pretty good. Yes, we camped in bunk beds in a cabin in the woods, this took place at a kids summer camp after all. The camp had everything you could imagine: giant inflatables in the water, giant water slide into the lake, kickball, dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, high ropes course, arc
